603 in NYC! Indoor Nationals! Updated!

This past weekend, a handful of NHTF athletes made the trip to the storied Armory in NYC to compete in New Balance Indoor Nationals.  This group of hearty should manufactured a season despite the lack of a NH Winter Track League.  Congratulations to them just for making it to this point of the season and thanks to the coaches and those involved to make it possible for them to have a great opportunity.

Here are a few highlights, and if we miss anyone you want to give a shout out to, comment below!!!

MV’s Seth Baylus placed 34th in the 60 in 7.05 but qualified for the semi’s in the 200 by virtue of his 22.29 prelim.  Baylus came back Sunday to qualify 7th out of the semis for the finals where he placed 2nd in the Rising Stars division clocking

Dover’s Green Wave showed up as well with Jeremiah Payeur placing 38th in the 400 in 53.34 and 27th in the Rising Star 800 with a 2:01.94.

His teammate Tyler Sheedy who has had an incredible breakthrough season highlighted by a 14:56 5k, competed in the 2 mile and 1 mile where he posted a 4:24.04.  Keene’s Torin Kindopp also ran 4:31.85.

Also in the 800 Londonderry’s Sean Clegg placed 16th in the rising stars 800 posting a 1:59.40. He was followed closely by Portsmouth’s Jake Haley who clocked a 2:00.28.

Bishop Guertin also had a group head down highlighted by their girls Distance Medley Relay placing 16th in 12:30.51.  Fiona Doherty fresh off her breakthrough 2:14 800 at BU a couple weeks ago placed 36th in the 800 with a solid time of 2:18.55.  Nate Fondakowski placed 11th in the 5000m in 15:33.39

Chloe Trudel also competed in the 2 mile as she placed 61st in 11:03.27.    Dover’s Izi McIntyre rolled to a 5:17 in the mile.

Over at the Nike Indoor Nationals at Ocean Breeze in Staten Island, Exeter’s Sydney Lavelle leaped 18’1.5″ to place second in the Emerging Elite Long Jump.

The Oyster River Bobcats had a weekend!!!  Charlotte Cousins made it to the semis in the High Hurdles placing 23rd in the Rising Star Division in 9.42.  Her teammates, freshmen Mackenzie Cook and Haley Kavanaugh rolled in the Freshman Mile placing 4th and 5th respectively in 5:10 and 5:13!  They also contributed to the Distance Medley Championships and 4×800 Rising Stars with Erin Carty and Talia Banafato posting a time of 9:54.41 in the latter and placing 23rd in 12:43.03 in the Championship DMR!

On the boys side, Henry Hagen, Ty Dorrow, Keane Swiesz and Dillon Labontecombined to place 17th in 10:51 in the Rising Stars DMR.  Daniel Doherty cleared 6′ in the High Jump to place 20th.
